The charging pile of new energy vehicles includes AC charging pile, DC charging pile and AC/DC integrated charging pile. The specific characteristics are as follows:

1. Characteristics of AC charging pile

(1) The AC charging pile has simple structure and small pile body. The input side only needs to be connected from the power grid. The output is also AC, with low cost and more convenient installation. It is suitable for installation in residential area and unit parking lot.

(2) The power of AC charging pile is generally small and the charging speed is relatively slow. After an electric vehicle is fully discharged, it usually takes about 8 hours to charge through the AC charging pile.

(3) Protection function. The AC charging pile shall comply with IP54 (outdoor) and be equipped with rain proof and sun proof devices to protect the charging pile from rain. The shell door of the charging pile is equipped with an anti-theft lock. The bolts used to fix the AC charging pile must be installed or removed after the shell door is opened. Double layer rust prevention measures shall be taken for the iron shell of the charging pile, exposed iron supports and parts, and the non-ferrous metal shell shall be provided with an oxidation protection film or be subject to oxidation prevention treatment;

2. Characteristics of DC charging pile

(1) The DC charging pile is larger than the AC charging pile because there are a certain number of power modules inside the DC charging pile. The higher the power, the more modules, and the larger the pile. Suitable for installation in public areas.

(2) The DC charging pile can monitor the status of the battery, and automatically adjust the charging current and voltage according to the battery temperature, voltage versus charging curve.

(3) Each DC charging pile is equipped with an operator for the user to select charging mode and guide operation, and display the battery status of electric vehicles and the user's IC card charge information to realize unmanned management;

(4) The DC charging pile can judge whether the charging connector and charging cable are correctly connected. The charger is allowed to start charging only after the connection is correct. If the connection is abnormal, the charging can be stopped immediately and an alarm message will be sent.

(5) The DC charging pile is suitable for the special bus charging pile. Because of the working nature of the bus, the 200-350kw high-power DC charging pile is generally used. When the bus comes back after a trip, the driver takes a 10-15 minute break to recharge the vehicle.

3. AC/DC integrated charging pile

(1) Provide human-computer interaction; Provide DC and AC charging interfaces;

(2) Real time communication with BMS to obtain power battery type, single voltage, residual capacity, temperature, alarm and other information;

(3) Complete safety protection control logic such as connection state judgment, interlocking, control guidance of charging interface;

(4) With CAN2.0B and RS485 communication interfaces, it can communicate with centralized monitoring and submit charging status information;

(5) It has the protection functions of electric leakage, short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, etc. to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the charging pile (plug); The protection grade is IP54.
